Viola School District will be closed on Friday, January 10th, 2025.

Closing Dates for the  2024-2025 School Year: 

August 13 -- Last Day of Summer Break 2024

November 23-December 2 -- Thanksgiving Break

December 21-January 6 -- Christmas Break

March 22-31 -- Spring Break

April 18 -- Good Friday (Make-up Day)

School closings for inclement weather will be announced several different ways this year:

• The Viola School District is now using Apptegy school smartphone app and webpage to push school closing messages to parents.

• Apptegy also allows us to send messages to the schools social media accounts.

• If internet access is available, this page will be updated to reflect that school has been canceled. (https://www.violalonghorns.org/page/closing-information)

• Traditional television and radio stations will also be notified. Below is a list of some stations that we try to notify. Because of the convenience of the Apptegy service, this list is short.
