Congratulations to Taylor Richardson, who was nominated for the High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week by SI Arkansas! As a sophomore, Taylor had an outstanding performance in Viola’s 58-39 victory over Concord, recording a double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds. She also contributed four assists and blocked four shots. On top of that, she reached an incredible milestone by surpassing 1,000 career points!
We are so proud of you, Taylor! Keep up the good work!
The Viola School District blood drive is coming up on February 26, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the high school gym. The more donors we have, the more scholarship money will be available for one of our seniors. Additionally, you will receive a $15 E-gift card for donating. Basketball Update: The Viola SR girls will play at 2:30 pm on Saturday, Feb. 22nd in the semis of the district tournament against Rural Special. The tournament is being hosted by Rural Special. Hope to see you there!
The Friday Beef Quiz Bowl trip has been rescheduled to a later, undecided date. Shooting Sports practice on 2/24 is canceled due to snow on the range. Due to the winter weather and hazardous road conditions, the Viola School District Board of Education meeting scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 26th at 5:00pm. School board meetings are held on campus in the administration building - building H.
