Kindergarten registration will be held on May 4th and 5th. Tuesday the 4th registration will be last names beginning with A-L and Wednesday the 5th, last names beginning with M-Z. Parents will need shot records, Social Security cards, Birth Certificates and the kindergarten physical forms.
Viola School is trying to determine if there is enough interest in another COVID vaccination clinic at school. Anyone at least 16 years old would be eligible to receive a vaccination. Call 458-4014 if you are interested.
The ACT Aspire Summative Tests for the 2020-21 school year will be given to all students in the 3rd, 4th, and 7th grades on Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29. The subjects that will be tested are English, Writing, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. Testing will begin at 7:45, and will continue throughout the morning on both days. Students should be well rested, and must be at school on time both days. If you have any questions, please contact Regina Snelgroes at the High School office.

Sports physicals for all school sports will be held on May 18th at 9am on school campus. Salem First Care are doing the physicals free of charge to students entering 7th thru 12th grade for the 21-22 school year. If your child does not have physical done May 18th , they will be required to have a physical from their DR before participating in any school sports activities. Forms will be sent home with any child requesting to play sports. Please fill out forms completely and sign where indicated and sent back to school with your child. Seniors were given a Senior Exit Form today with end-of-the-year reminders. Parents will want to look at this because it includes information about the Academic Challenge Scholarship and FAFSA. There are still a few scholarship deadlines left. All college bound students need to complete their college applications, scholarships, and FAFSA as soon as possible. Seniors, please keep checking your email, school website, and office shelf for important information and scholarship opportunities. See Mrs. May if you need help.

Staff who normally park in the gravel parking area between the Elementary and Livestock Barn need to park in the Gym parking lot until further notice. Parents will still drop off and pick up in that area.

The Viola softball games scheduled for today (Thursday) vs Calico Rock have been postponed to a later date.
After consulting with state health experts, Governor Asa Hutchinson has lifted the statewide mask mandate. Wearing masks is now recommended, but not required. Viola's School Board has decided to follow the Governor's directive. Masks will not be required for students or staff at school, effective immediately.
However, masks will still be available and other precautions including social distancing and additional cleaning will continue to be followed.
Viola's Homecoming will begin at 6:00pm tomorrow. We have now decided NOT to require tickets for attendance. If your child brings home tickets, you may disregard them and keep them as a memento of the occasion.
Participants will not have to wear a mask during pictures or the ceremony, and will have the option of wearing a mask otherwise. Masks are recommended for all spectators in attendance.
High school participants should arrive for pictures by 4:45pm. Elementary participants should wait until 5:00pm.
Just a reminder... School will dismiss today at NOON. This will allow those making the trip to the state finals game in Hot Springs ample time to make the trip. Parent teacher conferences have been rescheduled for tomorrow (Friday). School will dismiss at 1 PM with conferences beginning at 2 PM.

Parent Teacher Conferences at Viola School are being rescheduled for Friday. School will dismiss Friday at 1:00 pm with conferences beginning at 2:00 pm.
School will also be dismissed early on Thursday, at NOON. This will allow those who plan to travel to Hot Springs for the State Finals ample time to make the trip.
