Longhorn Tennis Triumphs Over Sacred Heart In Season Opener In an impressive season opener, the Longhorn tennis team went 6-2 in matches against the Sacred Heart Knights. The girls' team started their season strong by sweeping all six of their matches in both singles and doubles. In the boys' singles matches, Aden Kiefer played two tough and lengthy matches. Kiefer battled for two hours in his first match and split sets in his second match but came up two points short in a tie break. Picture day is coming soon! Here are a few important dates. August 28: Senior Pictures (Casual and Formal) start at 8:00 AM. Sponsors will also need to have their pictures taken at this time. September 4: Fall Pictures for Elementary and High School, including Volleyball group and individual photos. Senior banners will also be photographed. October 16: Make-up pictures and Sports Pictures, including Basketball, Golf, and Tennis. All Club photos will be taken on this day. Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly!

The Lady Longhorns made their volleyball debut tonight in a benefit game with Izard County. We learned a lot tonight. I saw lots of smiles and high fives. We even won our first set of the season in a senior jv match, 25-22.

A HUGE shout out to the Longhorn Booster Association for their donation of First Aid Kits for each Elementary Classroom and the High School Office. Each Kit contains common first aid items that will assist each Teacher in keeping instruction time interruptions to a minimum. Pictured here is Longhorn Booster Association President, Tara Williams.
